Arjan studied Dutch law at the University of Utrecht. Arjan started practicing as an attorney-at-law at the intellectual property and IT department of Lovells Amsterdam. On 1 January 2009, Arjan joined Vondst Advocaten.

Arjan's practice at Vondst covers the full range of intellectual property and IT law, with a focus on patents and technology, more in particular mechanical engineering and pharmaceuticals and life sciences.

Arjan is a member of various national and international associations, including AIPPI, the Dutch Copyright Association, the Association on Pharmacy and Law and the Dutch Association on Information technology and Law.
