Silvie Wertwijn - Partner

Silvie Wertwijn studied law at the Free University of Amsterdam and has been a lawyer since 2000, amongst others at NautaDutilh and Steinhauser Hoogenraad, Advocaten. Silvie deals with Intellectual Property in a broad sense, with a focus on trademarks, pharmaceuticals and patents. Besides conducting litigation, she advises clients on all aspects of IP law, also including establishing securities, drafting (license)agreements and conducting IP due diligence. Silvie regularly lectures and publishes on these subjects, amongst others in Dutch IP magazine IER.

 

Silvie is a member of various professional associations, such as the BMM, ECTA, INTA, Association of Copyright Law, Association of Advertising Law, Association of Pharmaceuticals and Law and AIPPI. She is also an active member of the Amsterdam Bar. She was a member of the Board of the Amsterdam Young Bar for two years, first as secretary and later as chairman.

 

Besides, Silvie is co-author of the publication 'Pharmaceutical, Biotechonology and Chemical Inventions: World Protection and Exploitation', published by Oxford University Press in April 2011.
